2-  Participation to Non Governmental Organization

- Vice-President of the Moroccan Society of Renewable Energy Development (SMADER) since 2008.

- Founder member and the Supervisory Board member of the Desertec University Network (DUN) since 30th October 2010.

 

3-  Awards

The book written in Arabic and entitled: ‘Introduction to energy’ (with two co-authors): 2nd Hassan II Prize for Environment (2008).

 

4- Initiatives undertaken for enhancing R&D activities on renewable energies at the Moroccan Universities

-Contact with the CIEMAT (Spain) that led to the signature of the cooperation agreement between the CIEMAT and the CNRST in 2006.

-Creation of an informal research network on renewable energies that led on April 20th, 2010 to a university network on renewable energies with the support of the GTZ.

-Contact with the Faculty of Engineering of Genoa (Italy) that led to the signature of a cooperation agreement between this Faculty and the CNRST in May 2010.

 

5-  Organization of scientific events

-President of the organizing Committee of the 3rd International Workshop on hydrogen in Rabat (Morocco) on 28-30 October 2009.

-Co-organisation with the Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT - Spain) of the first Summer School on Renewable Energies from June 25th to July 6th,  2007 in Morocco and Spain.

-Co-organisation with the Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas – (CIEMAT - Spain) from May 22nd to May 26th, 2006 in Spain of two workshops. The first on the theme of renewable energies; the second on nuclear civil applications.

-Co-organisation with the Middle East Desalination Research Center (MEDRC) of the first Intensive course in Morocco on sea water desalination from the June 14th to June 18th, 2004.
